6 NGOs issued a joint statement on July 26, 2023 calling for the need to “stop tampering with the gains of Kuwaiti women,” calling for adherence to the constitution, and explaining that “it is unfair for Kuwaiti women to remain in a state of constant struggle to obtain the simplest gains, and then they must wage a struggle.” Another is to preserve what it has achieved…and called for the abolition of the Negative Phenomena Committee, since its role is hostile to the spirit of the constitution and to the structure of civilized Kuwaiti society, and it distracts attention on issues that are crucial to the State of Kuwait.
