The Society established the Kuwaiti village of Hanan in Lebanon in the Souk alGharb area. This model village housed more than 60 orphaned children, and provided them with permanent sustenance. As for education, it was in the public Lebanese government schools, and a number of Lebanese women volunteered to work in that project. As for the administration responsibility, it was assumed by the Society.
With the continuation of the civil war and the increase in its ferocity, the communication between the Society and the village was cut off, and it was later revealed that some warring factions had taken over the village and displaced the children again. Then it became clear to the Society three years later that a Swiss institution had adopted 600 children from the village. However, the Society continued to support the children who were sent to a camp on the SyrianLebanese border, where they joined the Palestinian children, and a group of Palestinian women took care of them. However, the Society lost contact with them again.
